The holiday time seems to focus on gifts; what can I get, what do I give. Let’s take that topic and turn it on its head and talk about how to transform your gift giving and receiving into something more substantial and meaningful for both giver and receiver. Here are some questions to ask yourself about Transforming Gifts.
What do you have to offer others?
It could be something material, something spiritual, something emotional, or a combination. What’s hiding inside you that wants to be released for the benefit of others?
What are some of the gifts that have been most meaningful to you?
It could be a gift you received or a gift you gave. It could be a gift from a person, a gift from you to yourself, a gift to you from God, or a gift to someone you love from God.
What is your favorite cause?
How do you contribute to it? How can you expand your giving in terms of where and how you give?
